Wilma Jean Douglas

Wilma Jean Bruza-Douglas peacefully went with Jesus on October 7, 2025. She was born to Bennie Edd and Nina Martin Bruza on April 23, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from McLoud High School in 1968.

She has lived a life of many stories, from growing up in McLoud with her sisters Gaila Jo and Norma Jean, spending time in California working for record studios, wearing many other hats back home, to always loving her two beautiful children, Johnny and Sheriee. She also got to share a birthday with her granddaughter, Kenzie. She found her love, husband Alton, and married in 2005. She always had a special love for her sweet cats, was elegantly talented with her drawings, and enjoyed playing her flute. Wilma always had an ability to radiate a beautiful sense of class and comfort as well as always having a strong relationship with God.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Alton Douglas; her sister, Gaila Jo and Wayne Bryant; her son, John Dutch Long (Johnny); daughter, Sheriee McBride; nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Kenzie Long, Callie, Sarah and Trish. She is predeceased by her sister, Norma Jean Bruza; her mother and father; cousin, Betty Jean Morrison; and her beloved best friend, Edwina.
