Wayne Lee Jordan, 71, was called home to his Lord and Savior on February 27, 2026. He passed peacefully at home with family, after a 15-month battle with cancer.
Wayne was born on May 28, 1954, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Jim and Lorene Jordan. He graduated from Tecumseh High School. After graduation, he went on to work for the family business, Jordan Contractors, from which he would later retire.
He married Rita Washburn in 1977 and they had one child, Hollie Jordan. After they divorced in 1983, he then met Duffy (Helen) Reimer. They were wed on May 24, 1986, and had one child, Danielle Jordan.
Wayne found joy in spending time with those that he loved. He always loved a good western or black and white movie. His favorite pastimes were being outdoors; he loved to garden, mow, swim, boat, fish, play volleyball or horseshoes (He was and will always be the horseshoe champ!) He was one of the most selfless and giving men you would ever meet. He was also a man of every trade; he could do it all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lorene Jordan; father and mother-in-law, Ken and Helga Reimer; brother-in-law, Ron Reimer, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Duffy Jordan; daughters: Hollie Jordan and husband Jason, and Danielle Lomeli and husband Shane; son, Jeff Birkenmeier and significant other Danielle Gray; grandchildren: Sicilie, Gavin and Lukas; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Sheila Jordan; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Mike Allen; brothers-in-law: Eddie Reimer, Bobby Reimer and wife Jenny, and Russell Reimer; nieces and nephews: Jennifer and Matt Roberson, John and Kay Jordan, David and Lisa Allen, Kathy and Frank Miers; many loving great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, 2:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
