Vicki Lynn Miller, born January 26, 1945, in Amarillo, Texas passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026 surrounded by loved ones after a long and hard fought illness. Vicki was known for her love of family, her dedication to education, and her warm, welcoming spirit.

Vicki spent the majority of her childhood in Amarillo, Texas, though she was no stranger to the adventure of moving, having attended schools across Texas and New Mexico. Her journey eventually brought her to Oklahoma, where she graduated from Putnam City High School in 1963. It was there that she met the love of her life, Jerry Miller. May 26, 1965 Vicki and Jerry were married in a ceremony filled with love and joy. The couple were eventually blessed with raising three children in rural Lincoln county.

Vicki pursued her passion for learning at Central State University, where she obtained a Masters Degree in education. Her career as an educator was multi-faceted; she was not only an English teacher but also taught Spanish, Reading, Humanities and worked as a Librarian, inspiring countless students with her dedication and enthusiasm for learning. After receiving her Masters she spent many years teaching at the McLoud and Harrah school districts. Eventually retiring from Carney Schools after dedicating 28 years to education. During summer breaks she enjoyed vacationing with family in Colorado and when at home she enjoyed spending her days planting flowers, reading books and working on Genealogy. After retiring she spent several years enjoying traveling with her husband before returning home and enjoying time with grandchildren and family.

Vicki is survived by her three children: Cody Miller and wife Kim of Sparks, Oklahoma; Christy Vinson and Charlie Ballard of Yukon, Oklahoma; and C.R (Jack) Miller and wife Shelly of McLoud, Oklahoma. She was a beloved grandmother to six grandchildren and a great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren, including Tyshawn Edward Jones. She is also survived by her sister Susan Tate of Moore, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. Vicki's extended family and many friends will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Wayne Miller, her parents George and Dottie Tate, and her brothers Charles and Russell Tate.

A memorial will be held Saturday, July 18,2026, 11 a.m., at the Meeker First United Methodist Church, 343443 E. Hwy 62, Meeker, Oklahoma. An inurnment service will follow at Rossville Cemetery.

Vicki's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and students will be remembered and cherished forever.
