It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Vanessa Gayle Smith, who left this world on June 9, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on September 15, 1957, Vanessa embodied kindness, resilience, and a profound love for her family. She is survived by her beloved son, Travis Smith, and her cherished daughter, Roberta Stevenson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday June 16, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at AE Funeral Services at 603 W. Independence St. Shawnee, OK 74804. Funeral services to celebrate Vanessa's life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Immanuel Baptist Church located at 1451 E. 45th Street, Shawnee, OK 74804, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and share in the joy she brought to our lives.
