Van Berna

Van Robert “Bob” Berna of Wellston, Oklahoma, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and an honorable Christian man. He was born in Hobart, Oklahoma, on January 23, 1952, to Vollie T. Berna and Doris (Tidball) Hunter.
Bob married the love of his life, Carol Margaret Nuckolls, on August 10, 1976, in Sayer, OK. He loved fishing and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed watching old movies (especially John Wayne movies) and old tv westerns like “Bonanza” and “Wagon Train”. He always loved spending time with the family, especially his grandkids. Bob was a devout Christian who devoted time to reading the Bible and having fellowship with his church family.
Bob was preceded in death by his father and son, Robert “Robbie” Berna.
Surviving loved ones are his mother, Doris; wife, Carol; daughter, Chessie Walden and husband, Michael, of Choctaw, OK; grandchildren: Eli Underwood, Jason Underwood, Robert Underwood, Caleb Lee and Cali Walden; brother, Mark Berna; sister, Rebecca Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the Harrah Church of Christ, 20268 NE 23rd St., Harrah, OK 73045.
