Terry Vaughn rose to the heavens to our Almighty Savior on August 18, 2025. He was born in Lamesa, Texas, on March 14, 1951, to Alfred Vaughn and Hazel (Swinney) Vaughn.
Terry graduated from Lamesa High School in 1969 and from West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas, in 1976. He was a hardworking man with many jobs over the years, including a meat grader with the USDA, pharmaceutical salesman, and a well planner in the oil field business.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tara R. Vaughn; and his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Arlene Dudenhoeffer.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda (Dudenhoeffer) Vaughn of Harrah, OK; son, Ty R. Vaughn (Jennifer) of Dallas, TX; brother, Danny Vaughn (Sandy) of Magnolia, TX; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of friends; and his beloved cat, Scooter—all who loved this good man.
A very special thanks goes to Mark, Allen, Robert and John for singing Terry on to Heaven!! To the nurses and staff of Shawnee Memory Care, thank you for all your love and care. To Cohesive Hospice Care—Patti, Dana, Teresa, Paul, Steve, Don, and Luke—you are the greatest of all.
It’s been quite a ride, Terrence. We will all see you again someday!!
