Taylor “Wessley” Masterson, 83, of McLoud, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, peacefully with his daughter by his side after a long battle with dementia.
Wessley was born August of 1942 to Bernard and Mollie (Jones) Masterson in Webber Falls, Oklahoma. He was owner/operate cross country truck driver. He met the love of his life, Nancy Howerton, in Roswell, New Mexico and they had one daughter, Alisa Masterson Carter. Wessley loved his two grandchildren.
Wessley is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Masterson, his parents Bernard and Mollie Masterson, his granddaughter Nicole Chambers, brothers Charlie Masterson and Woody Masterson, sisters Evelyn Torres, Stella Mullens and Beatrice Masterson.
Wessley is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Alisa and Bobby Carter of Shawnee, Oklahoma, grandson and grandson-in-law Cody and Chase McGue of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sister Margaret Hudson of Hobbs, New Mexico, brother and his wife David and Rita Masterson of Roswell, New Mexico, brother Benny Masterson of Terlton, Oklahoma, as well as several nieces and nephews and some very special cousins that he grew up with.
Wessley was a very quiet man. He loved his family dearly and will be deeply missed by his daughter and grandson.
