Sylvia Ann Norman, age 84, passed away in her home in Chandler, Oklahoma, on September 30, 2025. She was born in Harmony, Arkansas, on March 9, 1941, to Felix Monroe Willis and Nancy Ann (Brison) Willis.
Sylvia loved to go to garage and yard sales. She enjoyed gardening and sewing, and she was known for her delicious desserts. Her family was the most important thing in her life, and she was lovingly called “Great” by all the grand and great grandchildren.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, RT Norman, Jr.; parents, Felix and Nancy Willis; brothers: William Eli “Buster” Willis, Denver Willis, Dennis Willis and Edwin Willis; sisters: Annis Melson, Ollie Collins and Melvina Martin.
Left to cherish Sylvia’s memory are her two daughters and their families: Anita Patterson (Bill Patterson) and Sharon Norman (Rick Hicks), 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Levi and Alieta Willis, and sister-in-law, Violet Willis; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 5, 2025, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
A graveside service will be held Monday, October 6, 2025, 2:00 p.m., at Davenport Cemetery, Route 66 & M3490 Rd., Davenport, Oklahoma.
