Stanley Erle Ping, age 64, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away on June 29, 2025. He was born in Coos Bay, Oregon, on November 6, 1960, to Lester Ping and Margaret (Pointer) Ping.
Stanley was a jack-of-all-trades to include: commercial fishing one summer on a historical boat named “Diana”, replanting trees on an Oregon mountain, building cabinets at Cobs Cabinet Company, working for Ellis Oilfield Company, and running his own trucking company, P & H Transport. He retired from Dolese Brothers Cement Company after 14 years as a mixer driver and a sweeper driver. He loved OU football and really enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Margaret Ping; stepdaughter, Amanda Stephenson; father-in-law, Jimmie Williams; brothers, Richard and Dale Ping; brother, Rocky Ping, who passed away on July 22, 2025; and his beloved pet dogs: Little Bit, Panda (his favorite), and Sammy (a boxer named after a football player).
Stanley is survived by his wife, Diana Hines-Ping; stepchildren who Stanley loved and raised as his own: Kimberly Chapman, Floyd Chapman, Chris Williams, Jimmy Stephenson and Berry Stephenson; nephew, Lester Ping of Oregon; other family members and a host of friends; and Itsy, Stanley’s lap dog.
Diana would like to thank her family and friends for all their loving care and support during this difficult time. She also wants to thank the VFW for their help.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, noon – 2:00 p.m., at the VFW Post, 9500 NE 10th St., Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Send flowers to service at VFW Post.
