Sandra Lee

Sandra Kay Lee, 66, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away on May 24, 2022, after a difficult battle with kidney failure.
Sandra was born on November 29, 1955, to Hoyt and Louise Scott in Fairfax, Oklahoma. After graduating from Moore High School in 1974, she landed her first job as a CSR assistant with North American insurance. Ten years later, she met Keith Lee, and they wed one year later in 1985. Two baby boys, Brian and Bruce, followed a few years later.
After ten years of the corporate life, Sandra left to start a new journey in the world of education. With her strong-willed nature, she quickly transitioned into an administrative assistant role at Mustang Mid High. This did not go unnoticed. Not long after, Mustang High School wooed her away. Working closely with many administrators as an executive secretary, Sandra soon became an intricate part of the MHS staff. Sandra was the “unofficial” help desk for all, faculty and administrators alike. She knew everything and anything. Nothing got past her! Sandra’s wit was her magical charm. When teachers wanted answers or just to blow off steam, many beelined it to Sandra’s office for a quick round of motivational energy! Fully transparent, Sandra was the ultimate in clever observations and common sense. Visiting with her promised never a dull moment. In addition to her daily tasks, she was the resident green thumb. This included donating all the fresh, beautiful flowers plucked straight from her private garden for all school receptions as well as providing advice and free plants to staff members experiencing landscaping turmoil. Sadly, for the MHS family, Sandra retired in 2020.
During the day, it was not unusual to find Sandra pampering her motorcycle like a baby or taking a brush to her favorite horse. Not surprisingly, Sandra loved spending hours digging in the garden or playing endless games with her grandchildren. Everyone knew not to plan anything on Tuesday nights. This was reserved for the famous “Girls Night!” including a fun-filled evening of watching NCIS and creating mosaics!
Sandra was a fighter. A fighter for her family. A fighter for her teachers. A fighter for her students. A fighter for her own life. God had other plans though. She will be missed by many. Sandra was predeceased by Hoyt Huffman Scott and Susie Louise Scott. She is survived by Keith Lee, Bruce Lee, Brian Lee and daughter in law, Andi Lee; grandchildren, Aubrie, Ella, and Gunner Lee; her sisters, Sue Harris, Jo Kenyon, Ann Powell, and brother Larry Scott.
