Sandra Sue Jennings

Sandra Sue Jennings, 86, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, after a recent battle of multiple health issues.  She was born in Joplin, Missouri, on November 14, 1937, to Marvin Churchwell and Mary Nadine (Kirk) Churchwell.

After graduating from high school in Joplin in 1956, Sandy met and married Curtis Jennings in 1959.  They were blessed with four children—Cathy, Terry, Sherri, and Debbie. 

Sandy had a variety of interesting jobs throughout the years, such as quality control, working with people with special needs, grenade testing and armed security.  After retiring from armed security in 1998, Sandy went on to enjoy playing softball, fishing, 4-wheeling, shooting, and spending time with the family.

Sandy was predeceased by her husband, Curtis Jennings; parents, Marvin and Nadine Churchwell; siblings:  Shirley Donaldson, Gary Churchwell and Marvin Churchwell, Jr.

Sandy is survived by her children:  Cathy Stansell and husband, Rick; Terry Jennings and wife, Tammy; Sherri Crumb and husband, Bill; Debbie Watlington; grandchildren:  Niki Tipton and husband, Seth; Casey Jennings and wife, Lisa; Torie Jennings; Garrett Lewis and wife, Jennifer; Tausha Anderson and husband, Eric; Cody Lewis and wife, Sammi; Marisa Shouse and husband, Derrick; Amaris Santos and husband, Eddie; Mariah Stansell; Austin Watlington and wife, Rachel; Brandon Watlington and wife, Charlie; great-grandkids:  Kadee Wallace, Peyton Riddle, Dayton and Madilynn Jennings; Kaydee and Caleigh Lewis; Jaylie, Tustyn and Rykin Anderson; Drayden, Brynlee and Ava Lewis; Mikaylie Shouse; Bexlee and Slaetynn Santos; Kopelan Stansell; Evelyn Watlington; nieces and nephews:  Carey and Kevin Ferron; Troy and Tara Churchwell; Karen and Mark McCoy; Larry, Junior and Rusty Skinner; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

A service will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, 2:00 pm at the AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.  Interment will follow at Jamison Cemetery, Harrah, Oklahoma 73045, County Road 50.
