Sammy Edward Brake, Sr.

The Lord called Sammy Edward Brake Sr, 66, home on April 17, 2026. Sammy was born to Willa Ray (Rhodd) Langston and Sammy Everett Brake on July 4, 1959, in Shawnee, Oklahoma in Pottawatomie County. He was a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Tribe. He lived the majority of his life as an outlaw. He married his soulmate and love of his life, Lois Marie Kelough, on February 17, 1979. He loved his family more than life itself. He loved to camp, fish, go to the casino and drive fast cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Langston and Sammy Everett Brake, his brother, William Langston Sr., his sister, Loretta Brake Bailey and his wife Lois Marie Kelough.

He is survived by his daughter, Tawnya Marie (Brake) Johnson and her husband Dewayne Allen Johnson, his son, Sammy Edward Brake, Jr., his sisters, Patricia Souders and Adeline Kelough, his brother, Robert Brake, grandsons Allen Johnson and Cory Brake, granddaughters, KateLynn Scurra and Hannah Brake, great-grandson, Hunter Lee Scurra, and a great amount of nieces, nephews, and friends.
