Robert Bruce Weil passed from this life on June 17, 2022, with his wife, Lois, by his side. Robert was born to Earl William Weil and Loraine Pauline (Siman) Weil on June 16, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois.
Robert served his country in the United Air Force. He married Lois Theresa Breeden on October 6, 2001. These two events were the proudest times in his life. His acting talent gave him the opportunity to perform in many plays and one movie, “Hanger 18”, in which he was “the scientist”. He was a longtime member of the Thespian Club and the Lions Club in Odessa, Texas. Being from Illinois, his favorite sports team was the Chicago Cubs. Computers and astronomy were two of his favorite hobbies. He also loved making greeting cards and “attempting” to grow tomatoes. He had a passion for travel and visited many countries to include Germany, England, Scotland, Ireland, Mexico and the Caribbean. He and Lois travelled all over the continental United States and attended various historical reenactments.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert “Robbie” Weil and brother, George Weil.
Robert is survived by his wife; son, Michael Weil; 4 stepchildren: David Hill, Ronald Hill, Kathy Hill and Allen Hill; 11 grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Winter and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at AE Funeral Services, 603 W. Independence, Shawnee, Oklahoma, with interment to follow at Seminole Nation and Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you contribute to any veterans’ organization in honor of Robert.
