Roben C. Brown of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on March 8, 2025, after a short stay in the hospital. He was born in Puerto Rico on June 2, 1975, to David R. Brown and Joye E. Cowden.
Roben attended elementary school in Rogers, Arkansas. In 1984 he moved with his mother, Joye, and sisters, Dannon and Cassie, to Shawnee where he later attended Shawnee High School.
Roben had four children—twin daughters, Emily and Haley, from his first marriage, and a daughter, Taylor, and a son, Eric, from his second marriage.
Roben was a fan of all sports, but he especially enjoyed fishing. Many of his friends had nicknamed him “Crappie” because of his love for fishing.
Roben was preceded in death by his grandfather, Francis “Buck” Baker and grandmother, Luey Baker. He is survived by his mother, Joye Cowden and stepfather, Randy Cowden; his son and three daughters; sisters, Dannon Robison and Cassie Barnell; Uncle Clarence Baker and Aunt Doris Baker; and numerous cousins and friends.
