Rhonda Hammons

October 25, 1957 — April 2, 2023

Rhonda Lynn Hammons of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on April 2, 2023, at the age of 65. She was born to F.D. Wood and Evelyn Marie (Bailey) Wood on October 25, 1957, in Roseville, California.
Rhonda moved to Oklahoma when she was less than a year old; so, she claimed to be a full-fledged Okie! She attended all her school years at the schools in Bethel, Oklahoma, and graduated in 1975. A few months before graduation, she married Ray Gill and they raised two children, Trey and Tricia, during their 26 years together. In 2003, she went to work for Vyve Broadband and was employed there for 17 years.
In 2005, Rhonda reconnected with an old school friend, Tooter Hammons, and they were married July 17, 2005. She always spoke of Tooter as the “love of her life”. They traveled to several different states on their Harley and met up with their siblings and cousins to ride together. They were known as the “Wild Hogs”. In 2018, Rhonda and Tooter joined Bethel Acres Assembly Church where Rhonda was baptized by Brother Larry.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, F.D. and Evelyn.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Tooter (who she adored); brother, Pete Wood and wife, Carolyne; son, Trey Gill and wife, Tenae; daughter, Tricia Annanders and husband, Charlie; bonus children and spouses: Tami and Jared Loyd, T.J. Hammons, Chance and Sallie Hammons, Braiden and Hannah Hammons; grandchildren, Keilee and Cooper Gill; bonus grandchildren: Jody and Cullen Davis, Lucas Loyd, Raylin and Brody Hammons, Caden Nadeau and Kase Hammons, Clayton Hammons; numerous other relatives; a host of friends and “Miss Debi Lou” (a special girl who Rhonda loved and hoped would become Lucas’s wife).
