Ralph Leon Taylor was born on May 21, 1931, to Francis Z. Taylor and Sarah Myrtle (Taylor) Taylor in Chandler, Oklahoma. He walked into the arms of Jesus on April 21, 2025. He was the sixth of nine children. He attended Osage School. In 1952 he was drafted into the United States Army. He reached the rank of corporal before his discharge in 1954. In March of 1952, through his sister, Marie, he met the love of his life, Agnes Belcher. On September 12, 1953, while home on leave, he and Agnes were married at First Baptist Church, Chandler, Oklahoma. After being discharged from the Army, Ralph began his career in manufacturing. He retired in 1992 from TDK Ferrites where he was a maintenance supervisor.

Ralph and Agnes were blessed with three daughters, Joy, Kathi, and Pam. In 1983 after the death of their daughter, Pam, they were blessed with two more daughters, Jennifer and Robin.

Ralph was known as “Mr. Fix-It” to his wife, daughters and grandkids. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix from a piece of junk found on the side of the road to washers and dryers.

Preceding Ralph in death were his parents, Francis and Sarah Myrtle Taylor; brothers: Carl, Bill, Wesley and Earl; sisters, Ruth and Lucy; and daughter, Pamela Sue Taylor Young.

Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Agnes Belcher Taylor, of the home; daughters: Joy (Gary) Bickers of Tecumseh, Kathi (Steve) Smith of Duke, Jenni (Alton) Brown of Shawnee, and Robin (Josh) Shatto of Maud; grandchildren: Andy Peters, Matt (Faith) Norton, Trey (Haley) Lewis, Kerra (Nic) Conner, Megan Taylor, Brandon (Shevalia) Brown, Amber Brown, Alexia Brown, Eli Shatto and Adam Shatto; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde Taylor of Shawnee and sister, Marie (Don) Miller of Shawnee; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Viewing will be Thursday, April 24, 2025, noon – 7:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.

A funeral service will be on Friday, April 25, 2025, 1:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Broadway St., Tecumseh, Oklahoma 74873.  Interment will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma.
