Phyllis Diana Palacios

Phyllis Diana Palacios, 69, of Pink, Oklahoma, triumphantly transitioned to eternal life on Monday, June 2, 2025, at her home, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion. Born on September 12, 1955, in Talihina, OK, to Theodore Randall and JoAnn (Spybuck) Watson Sr., she was blessed with a life filled with purpose, passion, and adventure.

As a military brat, Phyllis attended several schools, cultivating lifelong friendships and cherished memories that lasted a lifetime. She proudly graduated from high school in Mountain View, California, where her love for softball blossomed, becoming a lifelong passion that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Phyllis played several years in the Women’s Indian State Fastpitch Softball Tournament at Wheeler Park in OKC.

While her father was stationed at Moffett Field, she met her soulmate, Manuel Palacios, who was also serving in the Navy. Phyllis and Manuel's 47-year marriage was a shining testament to the power of love, commitment, and devotion. Together, they shared a deep love for fishing, creating countless memories that will be cherished forever.

Phyllis's remarkable life will be forever celebrated by her loving husband, Manuel Palacios, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Roddy Camp of Pink; one son, Wesley Palacios of Harrah, OK; eight grandchildren: Mia, Samuel, Josephine, Owen, Rosie, Locv, and Redcloud; one brother and sister-in-law, Theodore “Ted” and Shelly Watson of Bethel Acres, OK; and one sister, Kim Watson Davis of Tecumseh. Though she was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and JoAnn (Spybuck) Watson, her indomitable spirit and unconditional love will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her.

Tribal Rites will be held Tuesday evening, June 3, 2025, at the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Community Center, Little Axe, Oklahoma.
