Emblem

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Phillip Lawrence Webster. Phillip was born October 7, 1943, and left this world June 24, 2026. All who he crossed paths with were touched by his grace, humor, and wisdom.

Phillip was born in San Francisco, California, in 1943 to Chester Clyde Webster and Florence Rebecca (McDonald) Webster. He grew up in and near Atoka, Oklahoma, before moving to Tiawah and graduating from Claremore High School in 1961. Phillip served in the Oklahoma National Guard after high school. Phillip loved nature and the outdoors, taking his sons on hunting and fishing excursions that were much more about the quiet time in nature than about bringing any fish or game home. Phillip gardened until mobility challenges made it impossible, but still enjoyed sitting on the patio with his neighbors at Avonlea Assisted Living in Seminole.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Clyde, and by the love of his life, his wife Mary Sue (Dotson) Webster who passed on May 15, 2006. He is survived by his three sons: Michael and wife Angela, Patrick, and Sean and wife Jacintha; by four grandchildren: Jacob, Ryan, step-granddaughter Brittany, and Emmaline; and by three brothers: Chester, Jerry, and Garry Dean.
