Pearl Caton

August 31, 1927 — October 21, 2023

Pearl Marie (Desforges) Caton of Sommerset Neighborhood, Oklahoma City, went to be with her Lord on October 21, 2023.  She was 96 years of age.
Pearl was born on August 31, 1927, to Romeo and Matilda Desforges in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
After she graduated from high school, Pearl went to work at a local textile manufacturer that was owned by one of her high school friends.
On June 26, 1946, while on an outing with two of her girlfriends, she met Jack Allen Caton.  She and Jack were later married on June 7, 1947, in Massachusetts.  The couple moved to Oklahoma where they had five children, Lynna Suzanne, Naomi Marie, Jacky Lynn, Sharon May and Allen Marion.
Pearl worked for the Ada Housing Authority for over 20 years.  After retiring from the Housing Authority, she worked in her yard and took care of her beautiful red roses.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Pearl enjoyed her involvement in her church, which included going to church camp at Falls Creek when she was 79 years old.  She was able to see eight of her grandchildren and great grandchildren baptized while at camp.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her daughter, Sharon Lewis and her son, Allen Caton.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynna Stramski of Tuttle, daughter, Naomi Minnick and husband, Randy, of Harrah, son, Jacky Caton and wife, Sharell, of Ada and many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly and prayed for daily.
