Patrick Smith

Patrick Lee Smith of Shawnee, Oklahoma, tragically passed from this life on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the youthful age of 15. He was born in Fort Hood, Texas, on December 29, 2007, to Eric Lee Smith and Maria Michelle (Duggin) Smith.
Patrick was finishing the 9th grade at North Rock Creek High School in Shawnee. He loved reading and enjoyed writing poetry. Like many teenagers, he participated in various sports to include: wrestling, baseball, football and powerlifting. He was quite active and tried a little of everything which made him the spark for everyone else. His love for hunting, scuba diving and motorcycle riding came from his sense of adventure. Because he was always up for a good challenge, he taught himself how to play chess and enjoyed video games.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rickey Smith.
Surviving loved ones are his parents, Eric and Reinee Smith; mother, Maria Duggin; three sisters: Kodie and Kashlynn Vega and Kate Roberts; grandparents: Joann Smith, Johnnie and Sherry Duggin, Michale and Lisa Sims, Ronnie and Tonya Brookover; additional siblings: Clara, Hannah, Sophia, Felicia and Zachary Garner; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members; numerous sports families and a host of friends.
A family memorial service will be held: 11:00 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church, 1421 Pigeon Creek Road, Mountainburg, Arkansas 72946.
A public memorial service will be held: 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at North Rock Creek High School Gymnasium, 42400 Garrett’s Lake Road, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
