Patricia Diane Poole, 73, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
Pat was born on November 22, 1949, to Carl and Estelene (Haug) Kennemer in Oklahoma City. She grew up in the Park Estates area in Oklahoma City and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1968. She attended Northeast Christian Church and often sang special duets while her mother played the piano. She loved spending time as a child with her big extended family in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at her grandparents’ house. Pat and her brother, Phil, were very close and stayed in contact with each other throughout the years, checking on each other.
After graduation, Pat landed her first job as a car hop for Del Rancho and later became an information operator for Southwestern Bell. She retired from working at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Pat had two children, Scott Eckerd and Stacie Reynolds. Her kids were her joy in life. After retiring, Pat enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because she loved shopping for the perfect gifts for everyone and received much joy watching them open their gifts. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Pat was an avid bowler and she loved to play bingo and to travel. She also loved to watch football, college and NFL. She “Loved them Sooners”. She would often call her son during a game and say, “Did you just see that play, OMG!”.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Estelene; brother, Phil Kennemer; granddaughter, Courtney Eckerd and granddaughter, Shanley Kelly.
Pat is survived by her son, Scott Eckerd and wife, Jamie; daughter, Stacie Reynolds; grandchildren: Jessica Reynolds, Ashley Reynolds, Cassie Roberts, Bailey Kelly and Colt Eckerd; nine great grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A visitation will be from noon to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma.
A memorial service be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 18, 2023, at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma.
