Margaret was born on October 28, 1947, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Arthur and Dorothy Coy. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1965 and began her career in the Comptroller's Office at Tinker Air Force Base, where she worked for more than 30 years.
On August 6, 1970, Margaret married the love of her life, Paul Harris, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Together, they had one daughter, Kristina Harvey, of Canton, Ohio.
Margaret was best known for her deep love of family and her unwavering devotion to the Oklahoma Sooners. She loved traveling with family and friends, especially when a trip included the opportunity to watch her favorite team play ball. Whether cheering on the Sooners or making memories on the road, Margaret treasured the time spent with the people she loved.
She was the ultimate backstage mom, always supporting her daughter through dance competitions and recitals. She took great joy in watching her grandsons play sports and was always there to cheer them on. Her love for the Sooners was something she proudly shared with her family, giving them their first opportunities to attend games. Her grandsons especially treasured the memories of going to games with her. Margaret also cherished every moment spent with her great-grandchildren.
Margaret's greatest joy was her family. The love, encouragement, laughter, and countless memories she shared with them will be treasured for generations to come.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristina Harvey; her sisters, Susie Fowler and Rita Goodson; grandsons Austin Harvey and his wife, Megan; Wyatt Harvey and his wife, Gracyn; and Clayton Harvey; and great-grandchildren Kenneth, Cannan, Elizabeth, and Aurora Harvey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Harris; her parents, Arthur and Dorothy Coy; her sister, Ruth Clark; and her brother, Richard Coy. Margaret will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever cherish her love, her spirited support, and the special memories they shared with her.
