Lucy Ann Countz of Prague, Oklahoma departed this life on September 12, 2026, at home peacefully, at the age of 82 years. Lucy Ann Earhart was born in Oklahoma City on February 19, 1944.
She was the daughter of Clyde and Lucy Earhart. Growing up in Mulligan Flats and attending Capitol Hill high school, she would come to meet James Alexander Countz, who became her future husband of 65 years. She married on December 5th of 1960 and became a mother in 1961. They made their home in Oklahoma City until 1970. In 1970 the Countz family relocated to Prague, Oklahoma and established a firm foundation for their family. Lucy's unwavering devotion, patience, and strength while raising a pair of lively twin boys and another spirited son was unparalleled. In 1986 James and Lucy Countz moved to Virginia Beach until 1991, when they returned home to Prague. In the year 2001, her husband had retired from his plumber position and the two were able to devote more time together and with their family. As a whole, she was very proud of the life and property that she and her husband were able to create for themselves. Lucy's home was well heard of, which made her proud. She loved depictions of angels and heavenly landscapes. She not only enjoyed creating pieces of art to enliven the house with but was also known to occasionally treat herself to a small trip to any home-improvement store that happened to be open. Lucy was a devoted Christian who lived her life to teach others to love Jesus Christ as she did.
Lucy's memorable moments and achievements: Being a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Prague as well as a member of Hope Church in Shawnee, becoming a grandmother in 1987, vacationing in Hawaii, raising grandchildren and becoming a great-grandmother, playing cards with her family, renewing her 50th wedding anniversary vows, Walker Texas Ranger, Elvis, and maybe hitting the jackpot once.
Lucy is survived by her three sons Michael Countz, Jerry Countz and Larry Countz, daughter-in-law Patricia Countz, grandsons Cody Countz, Jared Countz, Pedro Countz, Benjamin Countz, Matthew Countz, Tyler Colbert, Dusty Colbert, granddaughters Sallye Biles, Hannah Grimm, Gabrielle Falks, Rachel Watts, great-grandchildren Violet Countz, Carter Countz, Adley Biles, Sheridan Biles, Sirius Countz, Seth Watts, Kolby Watts, Brooklyn Colbert, Zadyn Colbert and Cameron Colbert, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Lucy Earhart, her husband James Countz, brothers Aaron Line and Jimmy Earhart and sisters Mary Jo Line, Lillian Dixon and Janice Line.
