Lanie Naoma Wynn, known by most people as Pat, was born on October 31, 1932, in Barber, Arkansas, to Charles Fleet Cochran and Minnie Pearl (Peoples) Cochran. Pat was the last surviving member of a large family of twelve children.
Pat graduated from Mansfield High School in Arkansas and later met Nova Coy Wynn at a revival at Pine Log Church. The two were soon married on April 26, 1952. Shortly after their marriage, Coy was drafted and sent to Japan. During this time, Pat stayed with several of her sisters in California and Oregon.
Upon Coy’s return, the couple lived in Milltown, Arkansas, the Texas Panhandle, and Elk City, Oklahoma, before eventually building a home in Greenwood, Arkansas. In 1965, the family moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma, where they purchased Coy’s grocery store. Pat helped run the store while raising their two sons. In 1973, the family moved to the McLoud farm, where Pat lived for many years until a broken hip required her to move to the Wolfe Living Center in 2019.
Pat was a faithful member of Northeast Free Will Baptist Church in Shawnee. She found great joy in sewing, cooking, bluegrass, and gospel music. She also cherished traveling with her boys to visit family in Arkansas, making many trips before Interstate 40 was completed.
She is survived by her sons, Perry Wynn and his wife Donna of McLoud, and Bradley Wynn of McLoud; her grandsons, Jeremy Wynn and his wife Christina of Oklahoma City, and Tyler Wynn; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson and Piper Wynn; other family members and a host of friends.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and caregivers of the Wolfe Living Center, as well as Luminos Hospice.
