Kenneth Alexander Van Dyne, 92 of Shawnee, OK passed away on March 19, 2026 after a prolonged battle with dementia.
Kenneth was born on October 12, 1933, to Alexander Hurd and Etta Leona Van Dyne in Independence, Kansas and raised in Coffeyville, Kansas. After Graduating from Phil Kinley High School in 1952, Ken served 3 years in the United States Army, 2 ½ of which was spent in England. He then went on to study Business at Coffeyville College and then Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield, MO.
After Graduation he landed his first job at Beechcraft Corporation kicking off a lengthy career in Finance.
In 1957, he met Mary Ellen Carter and they wed in 1958. They had four children Tony, Troy (deceased at birth), Kimberly, and Kurt. He worked until late in life and enjoyed spending his time managing and not spending his money, spending time with grandkids and wearing matching outfits with his wife for outings. Ken was predeceased by his mother, father, son Troy, and grandchild Kam Van Dyne. He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Van Dyne, son Tony Van Dyne and wife Kim; daughter Kim Griffin and husband Jeff; and son Kurt Van Dyne and wife Bree, his grandchildren, Paris French and husband Jeff, Kentstan and Savannah Curry, Stefany Beesley, Nicole Stephens, Chris, Amy, Coral, Court, and Price Van Dyne, Brock Griffin, Shaniqua Crase, Jeffery and Malarie French, and his great grandchildren, Owen Beesly, Channing Martinez, Addey and Gatsby Van Dyne, Griffin Crase and soon to arrive Henry French.
