Kathleen Mildred Hageman

Kathleen Mildred Hageman, age 74, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on June 4, 2025, at 5:10 pm. She was born on July 30, 1951, in Syracuse, New York, to Doris Obit and William Knapp.

Kathy had a passion for bowling, coaching many adults and children throughout her life. She also enjoyed having a Pepsi in her hand, playing Bingo, making ceramics, dancing, listening to music (never heard an oldies song she didn’t know the dance and words to), and of course, spending time with her family (especially Sunday family spaghetti dinners and Poker).

Kathy was a loving daughter, mother, foster mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as friend to many others.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father, William Knapp; mother, Doris Obit; brother, Daniel (Danny) Knapp; and great grandson, Lucas Abel Sweeting.

Kathy is survived by:

Oldest daughter, Kimberli Carson; grandson, Jared Deyo and spouse, Adriana; grandson, Caleb Deyo and spouse, Dana; granddaughter, Cortney Vargas and spouse, Daniel; and great grandson, Luis.

Son, David l. Sweeting, Jr. and spouse, Michelle; grandson, Matthew Sweeting and spouse, Amanda; grandson, Derek Sweeting; and granddaughter, Peyton Sweeting.

Daughter, Kala Sweeting and spouse, Joe Cordes; grandson, Jordan Hernandez; granddaughter, Victoria Sweeting; grandson, Dezmond Cordes; and grandson, Michael Fredette.

Son, Daniel Hageman.

And her sister, Karen Roach.

Kathy will be “Forever Loved, Cherished, and Missed”.
