Justin Dean

Justin Kyle Dean, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed unexpectedly from this life on March 23, 2023, at the age of 46. He was born in Shawnee on December 21, 1976, to Allen and Sherri Dean.
Justin attended Shawnee public schools until he moved to Bethany, Oklahoma, his senior year and graduated in 1996. After high school, he attended OSU-OKC and UCO where he studied psychology.
On August 25, 1999, Justin’s beloved daughter, Brittley McKhelen Dean, was born. She was the light of his life and his whole world centered around her. Justin lived big and dreamed big. His family was very important to him. There were no family gatherings that he wasn’t a part of and he brought the fun to every occasion. He loved nature and the outdoors and enjoyed camping with his family, especially at Sulphur. His daughter, nieces and nephews will always have memories of the camping adventures he took them on. Because of the love for his family, he was also the caregiver of his cousin, Chad Dean.
Justin worked for many years in the food service industry and was a favorite server of so many. In the fall of 2022, he changed career paths and started working at the Ashley Furniture store in Shawnee. His personality and loving nature made him an unforgettable salesman.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Ruth Dean and Gaylord and Jean Sanders.
Surviving loved ones are his daughter, Brittley Dean of Shawnee, OK; father, Allen Dean of Oklahoma City, OK; mother, Sherri Sanders and husband, Curt, of Milburn, OK; siblings: Blake Dean and wife, Kimberly, of Edmond, OK, Analisa Beal and husband, Greg, of Tecumseh, OK, Mykah Schaffer and husband, Alex, of Hammond, MT and Tanner Bourne of Ada, OK; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Highland Church of Christ, 905 E. Walnut St., Tecumseh, OK 74873.
