She was born on January 19, 1943, in Shawnee, OK. Judith was the daughter of A.B. “Jack” Nelson and Rebecca Nelson. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1961 and went on to continue her career at Allen-Bradley/TDK Magnetics.
She worked as a Human Resource Manager for more than 30 years, where she was known for being deeply committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive work environment. She played a key role in employee well-being, conflict resolution, and building a culture of trust and collaboration. Her office was known as a safe place, whether you needed an answer to a work-related question or someone to simply provide a listening ear. She considered anyone who was employed there a member of her extended family.
Judith had a passion to make sure her family was happy, well-fed, and had a personal relationship with the Lord. Judith had a servant’s heart and lived to serve others, just as Christ served, with humility, compassion, and unconditional love. She was a great friend and would always listen to anyone’s highest of highs and lowest of lows. Some would even consider her an amateur counselor. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love of Branson, her Sunday dinners, her laughter, her infamous strawberry cake, and the fact that she could find the silver lining to any cloud.
Judith married William “Bill” Rogers on February 06, 1971, and together they shared 50 years of marriage. Their partnership was built on love, mutual respect, a deep commitment to family, and an unwavering faith in Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her parents, A.B. “Jack” and Rebecca Nelson, and husband, William “Bill” Rogers.
She is survived by her loving children, Bobbi Rogers, of Norman, OK; William “Billy” Rogers and Angelia Rogers, of Cleo Springs, OK; and Eric and Misty Rogers of Tecumseh, OK.
She is also survived by her sister, Alana and Bob Risinger, as well as 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 01, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Grace Community Church, 808 E. Highland St, Tecumseh, OK 74873. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at AE Funeral Services, 603 W. Independence St, Shawnee, OK 74804. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Judith’s life.
