Jeffrey Layne Brown

Jeffrey Layne Brown, 68, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on January 5, 2024.  He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on December 18, 1955, to J.D. Brown and Nancy (Love) Brown.

Jeff graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1974 and entered the United States Navy shortly after, serving proudly onboard multiple aircraft carriers as an aircraft electrician.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, prior to being honorably discharged and returning home to Oklahoma.  After his return home, Jeff joined the Air National Guard and held a few other jobs along the way.

Jeff was preceded to heaven by his mother, father, and brother, Matt.

Jeff is survived by his two sons, Cameron Brown and Brian Brown; ex-wife, Jeri Cameron Clift; two brothers, Randy Brown and Alan Brown; grandchildren:  Jordyn Brown, Makayla Brown, Brantley Brown, Lilli Blanchard, Harper Brown, Kendall Brown; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends.

Jeff loved his family, his farm, and good friends.  He was loved by all.  His kind heart and helpful attitude will be missed by all. Although he didn’t like being in the spotlight, it was his wish that we honor his legacy by laughing and smiling through these difficult times, together as a family.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024, 2:00 pm at the Lakeview Church of Christ, 15301 OK-102, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.
