Jane Ellen Erwin

It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Jane Ellen Erwin, age 76, on May 14, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born on January 20, 1948, in Carlsbad, New Mexico.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated veteran.   Jane devoted her life to her family, her country, and her community.  She proudly served in the United States Army, and served in Desert Storm.   She retired after 22 years with dedication and bravery.  She left an indelible mark.

Jane poured her love and energy into raising her two children, Cassandra Lisille Duncan and Michael Wayne Wood; her grandchildren—Veroniqua Jane Wood, Corey Maurice Wood, Sydnie Desiree Wood, Azaan Quess Duncan, Michael Wayne Wood, Jr., Meranda Wood, and Jacob Wood; her great grandchildren—Olivia Cassandra Wood (11), Naudia Veroniqua Wood (6), Ace Gunner Braxton (3), Logan Wold (5), and Koda Wolf (1).  Her family was the center of her world and she found immense joy in sharing memories and creating new ones with them.

Jane found peace and inspiration in the great outdoors, and her appreciation for the beauty of the natural world was a gift she passed down to her children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, 4:00 pm, at Barnes Church of Christ, 6001 S. Gardner Dr., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73150.
