Glen David Whisenhunt, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong Oklahoman, passed peacefully into Heaven on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Just hours earlier, Glen’s cherished wife, Nancy Ellen Whisenhunt, also passed – reunited now for eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven. Glen was born in Oklahoma City and raised in the town of Maud, Oklahoma, and later made Konawa his final home.
A man of deep faith, Glen lived his life with kindness, warmth, and generosity. He was a devoted family man, a proud father to many, a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and a faithful brother. He was passionate about many things, especially classic 1950’s Chevrolet cars, and never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved OU Sooners.
Glen is survived by his loving sister, Patricia Fletcher, and her husband, Joel, along with their son and grandchildren; his brother, Jerry Austin of Vernon, Texas, and his sons, daughter and grandchildren; his son, Rickey Whisenhunt, and his husband, Wayne, of Shawnee; his daughter, Tammy Remington of Maud; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his son, William Whisenhunt, of Ada, OK; his daughter, Alisa Kronshage, of Round Lake, Illinois, and her children; his daughter, Lisa Gibson, and her daughter; his son, Joseph Costa, of Shawnee and his son Ethan Costa; his son, Joshua Costa, of Broken Arrow, OK, and his three daughters; and many extended family members who loved him dearly.
The family will be holding a private memorial service to honor Glen and Nancy’s lives and legacy. Though he is no longer with us, Glen’s faith, love, and steady presence will be remembered and cherished always. He and Nancy leave behind a legacy of devotion, strength, and unwavering love.
