It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Fredie LeRoy Green Jr., who was brought home by the Lord on May 20, 2026, at the age of 55. Fredie was born on February 13, 1971, at Chatan-son, Okinawa, Japan on the United States Air Force Base to LeRoy and Donna Green.
Fredie spent most of his youth in the Choctaw and Nicoma Park areas. Fredie’s family moved to Meeker, Ok in 1986. He met his loving wife, Tammy, while cruising the Poo at the Green Stamp store in 1987. They married in 1992 and were together for 39 years.
Fredie lived in Shawnee, OK, where he enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and jet skis, especially with his son, family and friends. He built a career as a Production Controller at Tinker Air Force Base where colleagues became friends and remember him for always lending a hand without expecting anything in return. He retired in November 2025 after 27 years.
A master of the perfect cast, Fredie taught those around him to celebrate the wins, learn from the losses, and stay until the final whistle and last bite. He kept faith in the Oklahoma Sooners through coaching changes and in the water’s promise through wind, sun, and sudden rain. Family and friends will remember him by his patience when teaching and pride when the task at hand was successful.
Fredie was a devoted husband to his amazing wife, Tammy, a proud father to his son Codey and daughter-in-law Rebecca, and the best Grampy to his grandbabies, Camryn and Turbocharger.
Fredie is survived by his loving family listed above, sisters, Tammy Anderson and husband Tracy, and Amanda Christie and husband Justin, sisters-in-law Pamela Grubb and Amanda Hasbell and husband Zack, several nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends that he considered family. Waiting to welcome him on the far shore are his parents, LeRoy and Donna Green, and father-in-law Murel Longnecker, along with more calm water and bigger bass than one angler could handle in a lifetime.
To honor Fredie's life and the countless memories we all share, we invite family and friends to join us in a celebration of his life. Visitation will be held on May 25, 2026, from 3pm-5pm. Funeral services will be held on May 26, 2026, where we will come together to reminisce about the wonderful times and the joy he brought into our lives. We encourage everyone to come as they are, ready to share in the love and memories that defined his journey.
We look forward to seeing you there as we say goodbye and celebrate the extraordinary life of Fredie LeRoy Green Jr.
