Edward Earl Parker, age 75, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on September 1, 2025. He was born on January 4, 1950, to Gus Lee and Cecil Ona Parker in Lewisville, Texas. He spent his younger years helping his father on their dairy farm.
Ed graduated from Dekalb, Texas High School in 1968. In 1971 he began his trucking career. A career choice that would take him to many beautiful places along with some not so pretty.
In 1976 he landed a job with the Department of Agriculture as a field livestock inspector in the southern Oklahoma area. He moved to Madill, Oklahoma, where he met Paula McClendon, and they were married in November of 1977. With this union came the kids—Kelly, Kurtis and Lacy.
In 1985 Ed resigned from the Dept. of Agriculture and went back to driving a truck along with other various jobs throughout the years.
Ed medically retired out of driving in 2012. He spent most of his time with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years, to watching westerns, football and reading in his later years.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, sister, nephew, and 2 grandkids.
Ed is survived by his children: Kelly “Bones” and wife, Sharon “Supersport”, Kurtis “Jugbutt” and wife, Amanda “Mander”, and Lacy “Pee Ant” and husband, Ralph “Ralphy”; grandkids: Candace Glascoe and husband, Josh, Kimberly Dean and husband, Dalton, Makaela Parker “Sidewinder”, Bailey Jacobs, Chancey Parker, Klarissa Parker “Trouble”, and Kooper Parker “Friday; great grandkids: Kaden Dean, Wyatt Dean and Grayson Wyatt Jones; niece, Shanna “Kid” and husband, Jason Hightower; great nephew, Drake Sloan “Duck”; other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Tribbey Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the family for expenses.
