Doyle Grimm

Doyle Phillip Grimm, 63, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on April 4, 2023, after several health issues resulted in a pulmonary embolism. He was born in Orange County, California, on August 17, 1959, to Rolla Paul Grimm and Margaret Doylene Grimm.
After graduating from Rancho Alamitos High School in 1977, Phil went to Ozark Bible College in Missouri for general studies. A couple of years later, he returned to California and became a carburetor specialist. In 1983, he met Rebecca Ellen Sorensen in church. They quickly fell in love and were married on March 10, 1984. They were blessed with two children, Amanda Christine and Philip Jacob and later in life, they adopted another daughter, Nicole Marie.
Throughout the years, Phil and Becky loved the Lord deeply and spent their lives serving Him. Phil had a wonderful tenor voice and loved singing in church choir or doing beautiful duets with his wife. In 1999, they moved to Oklahoma to be close to family and went on to build many wonderful relationships. Medical issues required Phil to retire early, and Rebecca was also able to retire early. Phil loved her deeply and they enjoyed spending time with each other. He spent most of his time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them about hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed caring for many kinds of farm animals. Above all else, Phil loved the Lord and tried his best to do whatever the Lord led him to do.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Rolla and Margaret Grimm.
Surviving loved ones are his wife, Rebecca; daughter, Amanda Rowland and husband, Cory and their children: Austyn, Haylie, Noah and Daniel; son, Jacob Grimm and wife, Cassie; daughter, Nicole Grimm and her children; sister, Diane Adams and husband, Gary and their 2 children; brother, Michael Grimm and wife, Donna and their 5 children; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Mission Road Church, 37401 Westech Rd., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
