Diann Lee Hodges

Diann Hodges, 75, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at SSM Hospital after battling a long illness.

She was born in Claremore, Oklahoma, on May 26, 1951, to Richard L. Steeber and Lodema P. (Blaylock).

She graduated from Stroud High School in 1969. She married David L. Hodges on June 7, 1969. They lived in Lawton, Oklahoma, at Fort Sill Army Post, where David was stationed. They then moved to Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and several years later built a home in Pink, Oklahoma, where they have resided for 50 years.

Diann worked for Howard Johnson's Restaurant for many years. In 1992, she began working as Deputy Director for the Tecumseh Housing Authority and Interim Executive Director; retiring in 2009.

Diann was very proud of her native heritage. She was skilled at bead work and enjoyed making jewelry. She also enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband, David L. Hodges of the home, son Bill Hodges and wife Angi of Shawnee, OK, grandchildren; Shai Konnar Ansell and husband Cooper of Norfolk, VA, Cole Hodges of Stillwater, OK, Hope Hodges of Shawnee, OK, and Nick Larson of Edmond, OK, one great-grandson Cayden Ansell of Norfolk, VA, her mother Lodema P. Mahurin of Claremore, OK, and two sisters, Sabrina Lane and husband Joe of Claremore, OK, Connie Bookout and husband George of Altus, OK.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dee L. Hodges, her brother, John J. Florer, Jr., her father Richard L. Steeber and her stepfather John J. Florer.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity Baptist Church, Shawnee, OK, with Pastor David Holland presiding.
