Diana Marie Wiens-Pate

Diana Marie Wiens-Pate, age 83, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on January 30, 2026. She was born on March 17, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas, to Floyd and Eva (Deck) Turner.

Diana was raised in the Shawnee area where she spent most of her life. She attended Shawnee Public Schools and received an associate degree in accounting from Rose State College. She began her career at Tinker Air Force Base in 1966 and retired after 31 years in 1997.

Diana was a devout Christian and a longtime member of Blackburn Baptist Church in Shawnee. She loved gardening and art and was a very accomplished oil painter.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; three sons: Randy Wiens, Danny Wiens and Ricky Wiens; her first husband of more than 50 years, Carl Wiens; brother, Danny Michael Turner and granddaughter, Jennifer Wiens.

Diana is survived by her husband, Hugh Pate of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Diana Jean Wiens of Tecumseh; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; many other extended family members and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, 2:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
