Deena Kaye Weinacht, age 56, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away on September 23, 2026, at her home.

She was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, November 26, 1969, to the late Peggy Louise Nabors (Steward) and Darrell Richard Nabors.

She had the ambition to start her own business and began that journey with a flower shop. But she was never afraid to dream bigger. With determination, she returned to school and earned her education as a surgical technologist in 1997 and for nearly 20 she worked in the operating room assisting many life-changing surgeries.

She met the love of her life Scott Weinacht and they married on Jan 15, 2005. Scott fell in love with her smile.

Deena had 4 children Morgan, the late Nolan James, the late Wyatt, and Petey. She was delighted to be a Honey to 3 honeybees (grandchildren).

In 2016 she followed one of her greatest dreams and opened her own travel agency. Through her work, she helped others discover the world, while also making memories of her own. She was fortunate enough to travel to many of the places on her bucket list.

She had a creative soul. She painted, crafted, and photographed. Through photography she captured many moments in time for family and friends. She also pulled together the family recipes and made a family cookbook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her two sons Nolan James and Wyatt Andrew Garrison, grandparents Ernie Steward, Betty Zuker (Steward), Bill Zuker, Donel and Vonola Nabors, mother-in-law Judy Weinacht, brother-in-law Loren Howell.

Denna is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Scott Weinacht; children son Petey Weinacht, and daughter Morgan Little, son-in-law Elric Little, honeybees Aurora, Bellamy, and Bronwyn Little. Sister Julie Cook, brother-in-law Keith Cook, and children Taryn, Kaden, Jayda, and Kale, father-in-law Butch Weinacht, sister-in-law Mary Howell, children Jake and Michael.

Graveside services will be September 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee with Brother John Mixon of Atoka officiating. Family and friend meal to follow at Redeemer Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers please donate to Sprinkle Some Kindness INC., who provides Christmas trees, decorations and gift bags to long-term residents of OU children's hospital and the VA hospital.
