Debrah Kay Mathis, 75, of Shawnee, OK passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, in Shawnee, OK.

Debrah was born to Bobby Gene and Margaret Sue (Lowry) Mathis in Ada, OK. She was raised between Ada and Bethel acres and graduated from Bethel with the class of 1971. She made her home in the Shawnee area. Debrah spent all of her adult life working in the medical field retiring from Unity Health Center in 2011. She loved crafting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Debrah is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Shelli and Adam Richards of Shawnee. Two grandchildren Destini and Drake Richards. Brother Mike Akins of Georgia. Two sisters Sue Akins of Norman, Oklahoma and Sissie Akins of Norman, Oklahoma. Half Sister, Nancy Misic of New Mexico. And extended family and friends.

Debrah is preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Walter Akins, Jr.

Visitation for Debrah Mathis will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2026, from 12:00 to 5:00 PM at AE Funeral Services located at 603 West Independence Street, Shawnee, OK 74804.

Private burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, Shawnee, OK. at a later date.
