David Lee Stanley

David Lee Stanley, 73, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on November 12, 2025. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 22, 1952, to Vestal and Comora Stanley.

After graduating from Shawnee High School, David did photography work for the Oklahoma City Times while studying at Oklahoma University. Later, he worked at Mills Machine Shop, kicking off his career as a machinist.

In 1995, David met Lois, and they were wed in 1997 at Liberty Baptist Church. This union blessed David with three stepchildren: Debi, Barbara and Gary.

David’s passion was music, and after retirement, he spent his time writing music, recording music, and playing musical instruments. He even crafted his own violin and three others. David loved the Lord and used his talent to express that love. While attending Liberty Baptist Church, he ran the sound system, and he also managed the Saturday night gospel sing. He played keyboard at Living Love Church, and he had a quartet which sang at various churches and functions. David was also very talented with electronics and computers.

David was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan, and brother-in-law, Ron.

Loving survivors are David’s wife, Lois Stanley; children: Debi White, Barbara Harvey and Gary Fineher; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 21, 2025, 12:00 – 5:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at Living Love Christian Center, 1000 N. Kennedy Ave., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at El Reno Cemetery, 1300 E. Elm St., El Reno, Oklahoma 73036.
