David Don Carter, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, left this world peacefully on April 26, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on May 10, 1968, David lived a life characterized by kindness, creativity, and dedication. He was proud to call Meeker, Oklahoma, his home, where he made lasting memories and connections that enriched the lives of those around him.
As the business owner of DAGIVA Homes, David brought passion and commitment to his work, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic that inspired many. His entrepreneurial spirit and creativity allowed him to carve a unique path, one that touched the lives of countless individuals in his community. Prior to starting his own business, David formed many acquaintances and friendships while he was the General Manager at the Ford dealership for many years. David's warmth and generosity extended far beyond his professional life, as he was known to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
David is preceded in death by his grandmother, Elvesta Standlee, grandfather, Clifford Standlee and father, Frank Carter.
David is survived by his loving spouse, Givonna Carter. Their love was a testament to true love ~ built on Christ, family, and friends. He is also survived by his three children, David Allen Carter (wife Tiffany Carter), Brooklyn Renea Jones (husband Drake Jones) and Zath London Carter, his six grandchildren, Joey Carter, Lincoln Carter, Beckham Carter, Huxton Carter, Blakely Carter and Ireland Jones, his mother, Laveda Standlee, siblings, Shani McKee, Kenneth McKee, Kristi Rawls, Karrie Zito, Misty McGee, Shawna Trahan, Kelly Gibson, Kim Carter, Delana Carter and Jarrod Hile, a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
David's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, reminding us to love deeply, serve freely, and to treasure each moment with friends and family.
