Dale Lorne Newby

Dale Lorne Newby of Midwest City, Oklahoma, is the miracle of life to his surviving parents, Milton Wayne and Bobbie June Newby, making his debut on October 1, 1967. He is the brother to Orbie and his wife Vetha Newby, Ghent and his wife Jennifer Weyer, and Keri and her husband John Anders. He is the uncle to Lauren and her wife Jamie Skinner, great uncle to identical twins Gavin and Mason. Dale’s most cherished treasure is his niece, Lauren, adorning her with redheaded barbie dolls throughout her lifetime, cultivating her love of dogs and mentoring her love of music.

Being an astoundingly creative man among many art styles; Dale is an eloquent writer with a prodigious vocabulary, an extraordinarily gifted artist in painting and drawing expressions, nevertheless, he is unequivocally known for his innate musical genius. His melodic journey began in his early years playing saxophone, swiftly discovering his extemporaneous abilities among all crowd captivating instruments. His high school years drew him towards his deep affinity for guitars audiatingly entertaining the neighborhood with his instant playback of songs he and his siblings turned on vinyl or blared on a boombox. He can read and write music beautifully as well as sing the highest of all high notes.

He is a graduate of The University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in sociology. Occupationally, his years are full of serving his city and state as a probation & juvenile officer with a focus on children’s welfare.

His recent years are a compilation of impromptu roadtrips, cycling, riding his Indian motorcycle, endless hours playing his bass guitar and debating any subject with predominantly and passionately expressing his political viewpoint.

Dale, may you surf those heavenly waves with your faithful Skully dog until we meet again. Your departure saddens multitudes, your bass playing is heard from the heavens as our consoling equanimity. Propitious are we to have lived our lives with you.
