In Loving Memory of
Clifford Don Kiplinger
September 7, 1974 – November 15, 2025
Clifford Don Kiplinger, 51, of Cromwell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 7, 1974, in Oklahoma City to Charles and Corine Kiplinger, who both preceded him in death.
Clifford grew up in Oklahoma City and was blessed with three children—Jessica, Clifford, and James—with their mother, Jennifer Young. In 2015, he married his wife, Ashley, and together they welcomed four children: Bentley, Brooklyn, Bryce, and James. Clifford also cared deeply for Ashley’s daughter, Brianna. One of the greatest joys of his life was becoming “Grandpa” to his granddaughter, Nova, who brought him light and laughter.
A graduate of barber college, Clifford became known to many as “the awesome barber.” He didn’t work in a shop—he went from home to home, using his skill and charm to make people feel their best. Clifford was also a jack of all trades, gifted in painting, tile work, carpentry, and stone masonry, much of which he learned working alongside his dad. He took pride in working with his hands and doing every job well.
Clifford loved fishing, singing karaoke, polishing his truck wheels until they gleamed, and always making sure he looked sharp. Though life wasn’t always easy, Clifford knew God, and that gives his family peace today. In his final days, that peace and the hope of heaven comforted his heart and the hearts of those who loved him.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Ashley Kiplinger; his children, Jessica Kiplinger, Clifford Kiplinger, and James Kiplinger, and their mother, Jennifer Young; his children with Ashley—Bentley, Brooklyn, Bryce, and James; his stepdaughter, Brianna; and his granddaughter, Nova. He is also survived by his siblings, Charley Kiplinger and wife Danielle of Bearden, Tammy Kiplinger of Okemah, and Jimmy Kiplinger and wife Melissa of Elk City and numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joyce Dye; and his nephew, Anthony.
Clifford will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his humor, and his love for his family. And if you knew Clifford, you can almost picture it now: he’s probably already in heaven polishing his wheels, making sure he’s looking sharp for everyone he meets.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at The Bridge Holiness Church, 372098 State Hwy. 48, Bearden, Oklahoma 74859.
