Cleo Sylvanda Rogers, 70, of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away on January 26, 2026. She had been diagnosed with cancer only a short month prior. She went peacefully in her sleep in the comfort of her own home with her husband, John, and sister, Linda, there to care for and comfort her in her final days, hours and minutes.
Born December 11, 1955, to Aubrey and Irene Baker, Cleo was the middle child of three sisters. She grew up in Oklahoma City and was a graduate of Southeast High School. She wed Mikeal Mallory on August 6, 1974, and they had two children. They divorced on August 6, 1996. In 2013, Cleo married Johnnie Rogers.
Cleo loved being outdoors, camping and enjoying the lake life. She was always willing to jump in the car for a Sunday drive or, in years past, take a day trip outing on the motorcycle. She loved thrift store shopping and hitting the slots at the casino. She spent her last few years babysitting her great grandchildren, Drew and Georgia, who she absolutely adored. Together they colored, painted, played with lots and lots of dinosaurs, played dress up with Georgia and her jewelry, and made all kinds of things out of Play-Doh. Cleo was small enough to sit at the kids’ table with them and engage in all the activities right beside them, jump on their trampoline, and even play on the kids’ slides. Whether she wanted to or not, she was forced to learn to love kid movies, huge dogs, little dogs, and in-between dogs, and maybe even goats just a little bit.
Cleo was preceded in death by her infant brother, James Aubrey Baker; grandparents, Delbert and Stella Prewitt, and father, Aubrey Baker.
Loving survivors are her husband, Johnnie Rogers; son, Mikeal D. “Doug” Mallory II and spouse Kelly; daughter, Stacy Mallory and husband Travis; grandchildren: Tiffany, Zerrick and fiancé Bailey, Jacey and husband Dylan, Mikeal and Karter; great grandchildren: Kaylyn, Shane, Drew, Georgia and Emersyn; parents, Hugh and Irene McDonald; sisters, Linda Hager and husband Allen and Vanessa Galyen; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, 1:00 p.m., at Harvest Assembly of God Church, 4019 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73119. Please send flowers to service.
