Charles Leroy Nix, formerly of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, departed this life on September 29, 2023, at his home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
Charles and Marvine (Probst) were united in marriage on August 29, 1959, in Grand Rapids. They were blessed with six children. Over the years, they lived in Minnesota, Illinois, Washington state and in 1975, they moved to Tecumseh, Oklahoma. They celebrated their 64
th
wedding anniversary in August.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Vivian Nix; two brothers, Tom and Donald Nix of Minnesota; one daughter, Bethany Childers of Clovis, New Mexico.
Charles is survived by his wife, Marvine Nix of Tecumseh; daughters, Carrie Nix and Amy Britt of Tecumseh; sons, Karl Nix of Shawnee, Matthew Nix of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Warren Nix of Greenville, Tennessee; one sister, Judith Narayana of Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; numerous other loved ones and a host of friends.
His life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 7, 2023, 10:30 am, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 39307 W. MacArthur St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
