Charles Allen Jackman 79, Made the Journey Home on May 31, 2026, at 11:55 pm after a shocking diagnosis of Advanced Abdominal Cancer and Hospice at St Anthony's Hospital in Shawnee.
Charlie (as he was known) was born on October 14, 1946, in Redding, CA, to Harry Edward Jackman and Olga Ruth (Callas) Jackman, the second of 3 sons. He graduated in 1964 from Trinity High School in Weaverville, CA. He married his first love Betty Nan Harris in November of 1965 and shortly thereafter made their home in Burney,CA where they raised their daughter and 2 sons. Sadly Charlie & Betty parted after 33 yrs together.
Charlie was a devoted father who loved camping, hunting & fishing with his children.
He loved coaching his children's Baseball Teams and playing on Adult Ball Teams. He never missed a game. His hobbies thru the years included Bowling, painting Holiday Houses, visiting Casinos (he loved slot machines) and spending time with family and friends.
Charlie was a hard worker and spent many years as a Sawyer with Sierra Pacific Industries and as a log trucker with Roseberry Trucking Co. while living in Red Bluff, CA.
Charlie found love again in 2012 when he met Ann Marie Jackman. They married in April of 2014 and made their home in Corning, CA. In November of 2019, Charlie & his wife moved to Shawnee, OK. Two years later they purchased their present home in Davenport, Ok.
Charlie had worked 5 years at Rolling Hills Casino in Corning, CA, and several years at Black Hawk Casino in Shawnee & Sac and Fox Casino in Stroud, OK. Having retired several times, he missed the people and activity and had gone back to work at Camp Cargill (owned by Assembly of God) in Sparks.
Charlie loved people and dogs and his often tough facade was overshadowed by his truly loving & caring nature. No one he met was a stranger for long. He would greet everyone with a wave, a smile and a nod.
