Catherine Mae Reynolds

Catherine Mae Reynolds, 87, passed away on April 6, 2026. Catherine was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Walter and Matilda Steinert.

Cathy and her beloved husband, Wayne, were married on May 24, 1957, in California. They soon began building their family, welcoming two daughters and two sons. Seven years after their youngest son was born, they were blessed with an unexpected and much-loved surprise-Becky. In the early years of their marriage, Cathy and Wayne lived in California before moving to Colorado, a place they both deeply loved. Wayne often referred to it as "God's Country." His work later took them to Oklahoma, where they lived for several years before relocating to Edison, New Jersey. After Wayne's retirement, they happily returned to their beloved Colorado, remaining there until 2018, when they moved back to Oklahoma due to Wayne's declining health. Cathy cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Those who knew her well will always remember her quick wit, her love for laughter, and the joy she found in making others smile. The residents at her assisted living home often spoke of her kindness and the way she always greeted others with a warm, genuine smile. She had a fondness for simple pleasures-crisp apples, Italian food, and her daily Coke were among her favorites. Cathy also took pride in her appearance; having her hair done and wearing pretty clothes brought her confidence and happiness. Cathy loved watching game shows, especially Family Feud. Becky and Carolynn treasured their weekly visits with her, bringing groceries and sharing laughs-often while chatting about Steve Harvey's ever-changing wardrobe. Cathy lost her sweet Wayne in 2020. Despite this profound loss, she showed remarkable strength, continuing to live independently in a wonderful senior living community in Oklahoma City. As her health began to decline, she moved to a lovely, assisted living home, where she thrived and continued to share her warmth with others until her unexpected passing on April 6th.
