Carol Elaine Potts

Carol Elaine Potts, age 77, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on May 26, 2025. She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on July 30, 1947, to James Edward Miller and Rosalee (Howe) Mauldin.

After graduating from Shawnee High School in 1965, Carol attended beauty college in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She met the love of her life, Ray Potts, in 1965, and they shared 44 years of marriage. They had two children, Danny Ray Potts and Lynnea Sue (Potts) Fellows.

Carol worked as a cashier at Walmart and Dollar Saver grocery store where she very much enjoyed her customers and visiting with everyone. She also worked as a merchandiser for Teter’s floral company where she enjoyed driving to different locations to perform her job duties.

As a die-hard Oklahoma Sooner football fan, Carol never missed cheering them on every season. She loved going to the lake or driving to see her lifetime best friends (sisters) Anita McClarnon and Anne Taylor--she was always on the go. She also loved sharing ice cream with her son-in-law, Robert, and having Wheel of Fortune battles with her daughter.

Carol was predeceased by her husband, Ray, and her great grandson, Wyatt Matthew O’Shell.

Carol is survived by her son, Danny Potts of Tecumseh; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Robert Fellows of Tecumseh; grandsons: Bryant (Sarah) O’Shell of Cushing, Blake (Amanda) O’Shell of Cushing, Travis (Ashley) Potts of Maud, Robert Fellows Jr., Buford and Aailyah Fellows; granddaughters: Jennifer, Lacey, Megan, Ashley, and Candace; numerous great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Carol was dearly loved and will be greatly missed until we meet again.
