Brenda Joy Bradley of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away June 30, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born in Newark, New Jersey, on July 26, 1944, to Oliver P. Culver and Helen (Cyre) Culver.
Brenda graduated from East Tipp High School in Lafayette, Indiana. She married William (Sonny) Best in 1960 and moved to Oklahoma in 1968. She spent most of her working life in sales—taking care of customers in oilfield sales, media sales and medical route sales. The last 11 years, she was a Sign Shop Manager for Circuit Engineering District #4 in Pottawatomie County. In April of 1981 she married James “Houston” Bradley, and they enjoyed visiting all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Helen Culver; brother, Oliver Culver, Jr.; first husband, William “Sonny” Best and second husband, James “Houston” Bradley.
Brenda is survived by her sons: Mark Edmund Best, William Edmund Best, Jr., and Timothy Edward Best; five grandsons: Zac, Eric, Matthew, Johnathan and Taran Best; eight great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
