Billy Ray Lindley, 74, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the VA Home in Norman, Oklahoma. Billy was born on October 30, 1950, in Gorman, Texas to the late Charles Nathan and Fannie Lindley.

On September 15, 1970, Billy was drafted into Vietnam at the young age of 19. Billy served his country with courage, integrity and honor during one of the most horrific times. His duty assignment was the CO C 54th Infantry. He was awarded several medals for his service and by the grace of God he was able to return home to his loving friends.

Billy spent 31 years with Wendy’s as an air conditioning and service technician; Billy later moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to enjoy retirement.

Billy is survived by his loving spouse of 25 years Rachel Dalby; his son Jeremy Ray; brother David Allen; sister Evelyn Delores Weeks and many nieces and nephews.

Billy is preceded in death by parents; his brothers; Edwin Eugene in 1949, Martin Britt in 1968 and Clifford Lee in 2003; Charles Nathan Jr in 2011.

A memorial service with military honors will be held 9:15 AM Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Dallas – Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
