Betty Eunice (Mikish) Pliler

Betty Eunice (Mikish) Pliler of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the age of 90.  She was born in Yukon, Oklahoma, on September 29, 1933, to Wesley M. Trch and Mary (Smrcka) Trch.

Betty was blessed with two daughters, Terri and Sandra.  She was married to Benny Mikish from July 4, 1970, until his death on February 6, 1997.   On May 23, 2005, she married John Pliler.

Betty worked for Sherwin-Williams Paint Store in Shawnee as a sales representative for 25 years.  She did volunteer work for the Red Cross and the Shawnee Police Department.  She was a Red Cross volunteer in New York City after the 911 attack and in Galveston after a hurricane, and she went on several medical mission trips to Guatemala and other mission trips.  She also enjoyed taking food and water to firemen during fires.  Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.  She enjoyed gardening, painting, traveling, fishing and especially spending time with the family at their Lake Eufaula cabin.  Betty and John loved to go dancing at various places.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, and two sisters, Mary Weber and Angela Carter.

Betty is survived by her daughters:  Terri Lawson and husband, Richard, of Tecumseh, OK, and Sandra Farris of Bethel Acres, OK; grandchildren:  Ashley Hill and husband, Chris, Kylie Guest and husband, Neil, Chelsie Logan and husband, Kevin, and Jason Farris and wife, Jennifer; great grandchildren:  Bryce and Wyatt Hill, Preslie and Bentley Logan, and Will, Kate, Mary and Rosie Farris; sister, Agnes Trch; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 10:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, 301 S. Broadway St., Tecumseh, Oklahoma 74873.
